The Cynon Valley Museum in light of Welsh government announcements today (19th October) will continue to remain closed. We are constantly assessing the situation and will reopen when it is safe and sustainable to do so. Understandably we are currently not able to give a specific date due to the complex and constantly changing environment we are all in.
In the meantime, we are always open online, and we will be continuing to add new content over the next two weeks, make sure you take a look soon! You can still take part in our BigDraw event “Postcard to a Museum” post or email a postcard of your favourite views and landmarks in the Cynon Valley for it to go on display in the museum. What is your favourite part of the Cynon Valley?
Since the museum’s closure in March. It has brought increased pressure on the museum’s finances. You can support us today by making a donation online or by becoming a Friend of the Museum, it will help us continue to host online exhibitions and events. Thank you for your support.
In the meantime, we hope that you stay safe, we look forward to welcoming you back into the museum when we reopen.
