Support Your Museum
The Cynon Valley Museum Trust is a registered charity with the sole aim of keeping the Museum open. The CVMT receives no statutory funding to do this; the building costs in excess of £1,000 per week (not including staff). Our staff team is currently supported by a generous grant from the Pen y Cymoedd Wind Farm Community Fund. Under this funding, the Trust has been working exceptionally hard to become self-sustainable. However, Coronavirus put a pause on our work for a period of time and it is harder than ever for us to generate the income we need to remain open.
We appreciate all the support we receive; your time, money and support make a huge difference to what the Museum can achieve. Every time you visit the museum, you support the development of more activities, events and exhibitions to reflect the special history of the Cynon Valley.

The Cynon Valley Museum is run by an independent Trust (registered charity number 1161227). There are many ways that businesses can help support the ongoing costs.
Today we face a new challenge, the Coronavirus.
On the 18th March to fight the spread of the Coronavirus and to help protect our community, volunteers and staff we closed our galleries, shop and cafe. We will not reopen them until it is safe for all of us.
Help support us through is difficult time and ensure we can continue to serve the community as we have for the last four years.
