Welcome to the Book Store at Cynon Valley Museum

We are a local book store dedicated to supporting writers and creators from across the Cynon Valley and Wales. Our goal is to provide a space where local talent can be discovered and shared with the community.

Welsh Heritage: Books and resources that explore the history, culture, and industrial past of Wales.

Author Of The Month

Alun Burge is from the Sirhowy valley. He studied in evening classes before going to Hull University. During the 1980s he lived in Nicaragua and during the 1990s worked for international organisations, mainly in Latin America. After a decade in the Department of Social Justice of Welsh Government, he now has an honorary research post in the History Department of Swansea University and is currently undertaking a project on international solidarity at the National Museum of Wales.

All of the books are available in the Museum.

Yes. Check out the book you want, give us a call and then you have seven days to collect before it goes back on the shelves.
