In 2016, Cynon Valley Museum was saved by our community for the community and many of you have continued to support us through our journey. To date, we serve the community by offering a kaleidoscope of many things. We are not just a museum, we are a playgroup, a heritage talk, an art workshop, a café, a gallery for local artists, a shop for local crafts – through a welcoming ‘croeso’. We have become a thriving centre, defined by you.

85% of our income is derived from what we do in the community. This income is realised by the simple action of you and your community walking through the museum’s doors and creating conversation, making the museum your own. We would not exist without you.
