Holocaust Memorial Day at Cynon Valley Museum
Every year Holocaust Memorial Day takes place in January so that we all remember the millions of people murdered in the Holocaust, under Nazi Persecution, and in the genocides which followed in Cambodia, Rwanda, Bosnia, and Darfur.
This year Cynon Valley Museum will working with RCT CBC’s Community Safety Partnership Team to host a series of events to commemorate and remember the millions who have been murdered.
Exhibition: Jewish Refugees in Wales
Cynon Valley Museum will be hosting the exhibition Jewish Refugees in Wales for two weeks from the 22nd January to 5th February. This exhibition commemorates the Holocaust and the lives of Jewish refugees in South Wales, and their contribution to Welsh society.
Talks and Discussions
Join Cynon Valley Museum a live digital event on 26th January commemorating Holocaust Memorial Day. On the 26th January join us for a by the Jewish History Association of South Wales who will give a talk on the Holocaust Memorial Tablet. This tablet located in the Cardiff Reform Synagogue “names of 102 individuals, related to members of the Congregation, whose lives were snuffed out in the Holocaust; they have no graves, but their names are inscribed here”.
